Our Story

Doulado was founded on the belief that a human's wellbeing should be at the top of the priority list, whether it's the beginning of life or the end of life. We saw the impact doulas were making in improving maternal health outcomes, advocating for equitable minority care and supporting people through life’s transitions. For decades, doulas have been piecing together tech stacks made for other industries to run their businesses and take care of clients. We saw the need to create Doulado, one of the first apps designed to meet the unique caregiving needs of doulas.

Our Promise

We offer simplicity

Healthcare tech is a rapidly growing industry, however, most doulas are currently piecing together tech stacks with extraneous features. Doulado is focused on simplifying the unique business needs of doulas. Every feature has been designed around a doula's day-to-day life. We keep the tech simple so you can focus on client care.

We're centered around your needs and value feedback

We rely on doulas actively working in birth work and end-of-life care to tell us exactly what they need in a business management tool. We are a company who values an openness to learn and regularly ask our customers for feedback. We promise to really listen to your needs and reiterate our product to solve your pain points.

We value humans before profit

We are passionate about expanding access to doulas. Doulas provide critical advocacy and support for those at risk of bias and discrimination and can significantly improve maternal health outcomes. We aim to remove the barriers doulas can face to start and run their business. We partner with organizations to provide sliding scale pricing for doulas who graduate from non-profit programs or have unique needs and challenges.

We bring you back to the heart of doula work

Our software is built to take the workload off of doulas who are already serving our communities so tirelessly. Our goal is to provide better note-taking, better templates, and better client needs recall so doulas can build trust and connection. We'll know we've hit the mark when your business runs smoothly in the background and you can focus on the heart of doula work - taking care of people and their needs.
